2009: Sat out 2009 season with injury...

2008: Played in 51 games for the TexAnns, starting 49 contests... Hit .297 for the season with 48 runs batted in and six homeruns... Stole three bases... Also recorded 31 runs scored, three doubles and one triple...

Previous Experience: Transfers to Tarleton after playing two seasons at Blinn Junior College...

High School: Two-time second team all-district selection... Earned honorable mention all-district in 2002...

Personal: Graduated from Santa Fe High School in 2005... Parents are Michele Burge and Gerald Sutton... Has two brothers, Michael (19) and Matthew (14) ... Says the best thing about being a student athlete is people’s expectations towards you... Major is fitness management... Birthday is February 2, 1987...

Coach Mata says: “After being hurt and out of the game last year, Tami is back in center field and up at the top of our order again.  She looks strong and sharp on offense and defense and I like the fact that she is a savvy player who loves this game.  She’s going to be a huge part of our success this year.”
