Coach Mata says: Any time you see a player go through as many obstacles as Sam has just to have the chance to play softball, you know you’ve got a strong leader on the field and off.  This young woman has tremendous love for the game and we’re very fortunate to have her with us.  She is fast, works so hard on the little things, and helps push our whole team to work harder.  She’s a senior transfer, with one year, one last softball chance... and she is making the most of it.
