Also played basketball, lettering three seasons and received academic all-district all three seasons... Was also voted Most Athletic by her class...

     
Personal: Graduated from Brewer High School in Fort Worth in 2007... Major is exercise and sports studies... Parents are Rod and Christie Gabbert... Has two siblings, Bobby and Jennifer... Born June 2, 1989.

     
Coach Mata says:  “After suffering injuries last spring that kept her sidelined for most of the season, Amy has worked incredibly hard, is in great shape, and is looking very good on the infield and at the plate.  She’s important in our lineup and on our middle infield.”
