Biography

Junior (2013):
    Earned the LSC Gold Glove award at pitcher… Took over as the ace of the pitching staff, appearing in a team-high 34 games with 25 starts and leading the team with 164.1 innings pitched… Won 13 games and led the team with 115 strikeouts, which was sixth in the LSC… Led the team in several pitching categories including ERA (3.66) and opposing batting average (.275)… Took a no-hitter through 6.2 innings en route to a complete-game shutout of Eastern New Mexico in Portales on April 6… Hit .282 with a home run and 12 RBIs… Had a .409 on-base percentage.
 
Sophomore (2012):
    Made 28 pitching appearances for the TexAnns, including 17 starts... Won 14 games... Pitched 129 innings with a 3.42 ERA, which was good for 10th in the conference... Struck out 119 batters, which was seventh in the LSC... Her 119 K's also made her one of just eight pitchers in the conference to record at least 100 strikeouts... Recorded two 10-strikeout games with a career-high 12 K's against Washburn Feb. 24.
 
Freshman (2011):
    Made 26 pitching appearances and started seven games for the TexAnns as a true freshman... Led the TexAnns in ERA (2.78)... Recorded 62 strikeouts to just 38 walks.
 
Birdville High School:
    Four-year letterman in softball... Also played golf... Helped team to district championship in 2009-10 and area championship in 2008-09... Named the district’s Most Valuable Player in 2009-10... Named Pitcher of the Year in 2008-09... Was second-team all-district in 2007-08... Named Academic All-District all four years... Was a member of PALs, Texas Association of Future Educators, Future Educators Association and National Honor Society.

    Is a 2010 graduate of Birdville High School... Daughter of Jim Fentress and Lara Montoya... Has three siblings, Tim, JC and Benjamin... Majoring in Math with 8-12 Certification... Born August 24, 1994.
