Freshman (2021)  
Raced in four of a possible five meets … Was Tarleton’s No. 1 performer at the Texas A&M Invitational, Ranger College Cross Country Invitational and Arturo Barrios Invitational … Notched Tarleton’s top 5k and 6k times of the season … Crossed the 5k finish line 19th in 18:44.30 at the Texas A&M Invitational … Registered a 6k personal record of 22:52.80 at the Arturo Barrios Invitational … Won the Ranger College Cross Country Invitational to earn her first collegiate victory and help Tarleton capture the team title and post a combined score of 21 points.  

Cuero High School  
Earned four varsity letters in cross country and one in track and field … Won individual District Championships in the 1,600m and 3,200m during her senior track and field season … Closed her prep career by breaking the 1,600m school record with a time of 5:10 at the 2021 TX UIL State Track and Field Championships … Also owns personal records of 2:22 in the 800m and 11:51 in the 3,200m …  Helped team win District track and field championships in 2017 and 2021 … Competed in the pole vault in track and field as well … Was named a Women’s Varsity Cup Cross Country Athlete as a senior in 2021 … Her cross country 2-mile personal record was 11:32 … Received academic accolades over the course of high school … Earned Academic All-State recognition in 2020 and 2021 … As a senior, was presented with Class Saulutatorian Bronze and Academic Achievement awards.

2021 graduate of Curero HS in Cuero, TX … Her running journey began when someone saw her running the bases during a softball game and mentioned that she should try cross country … Said she “instantly fell in love with the sport of running” afterward … Daughter of Jason and Michelle Wendell … Has a sister, Kerilyn … Majoring in biomedical sciences … Born Apr. 13.
