Athletic Performance Internship Program
The Tarleton State University Athletic Performance internship program is designed to provide you with a wide range of field experiences in a strength & conditioning facility working with 17 NCAA Division I Intercollegiate Athletic teams, cheerleading and dance.
During this internship there is a sincere hope that a large exchange of information will take place that will be beneficial to all parties involved and hopefully this experience will be one of the most fruitful experiences in your college career.
This internship program has been approved by the Kinesiology department at Tarleton State University to fulfill the necessary requirements of PED 482 and may qualify for other internships (check for qualification at institution).
Some of the benefits of participation in the Strength & Conditioning include but are not limited to:
    • Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Experience
    • Exposure to Resistance/Strength Exercises, Conditioning/Speed Exercises, Sports Nutrition Concepts, Philosophy/Principles of Program, etc.
    • College Credit – if approved
    • Earned Recommendations
    • Opportunity for advancement into paid positions as student assistant, graduate assistant or assistant
    • Athletic gear when available
