Pet Policy

Due to a revised Tarleton State University Standard Administrative Procedure, pets are no longer allowed at Tarleton Athletics events.
 
An updated Animals on Campus standard administrative procedure (SAP) was approved on March 25, 2024. This university procedure provides guidance to prohibit the presence of animals in university controlled and managed buildings at indoor or outdoor university sponsored events, except where exemptions apply.
 
Notable exemptions exist for service animals, restricted to dogs or miniature horses, that are trained to perform specific work or tasks for a person with a disability.
 
Pets and emotional support animals (ESAs) are not allowed at any university sponsored events, including events that are held outdoors. ESAs are assistance animals that do not require training and are restricted to the student's on-campus residential facility and grounds with limited exceptions.
