Harrell played the last three seasons at Alabama State, appearing in 25 total games. He recorded 664 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 44 receptions across his tenure there. Last season was his best year, going for 492 yards and five touchdowns on 26 catches in 12 games. He was the second leading receiver on the Hornets who finished 10-2 overall, 7-1 in conference play. He started the year with a receiving touchdown in each of his first three games, then posted a season-high 107 yards against Jackson State on Oct. 11. Harrell was also a kick returner and punt returner over the past two seasons, averaging 16.1 yards per kick return last year and 28.5 yards per punt return in 2024.
 
Harrell played prep football at Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, Florida. He was All-State and the Florida Player of the Year his senior year, plus the Tri-County Player of the Year. He set the school record with five touchdown receptions in a game, finishing with 31 touchdowns and 2,083 receiving yards during his high school career.
 
Harrell, a Daytona Beach, Florida, native, will major in biomedical sciences at Tarleton State University.
