Tarleton State University Athletics

Hawkins played most recently at Trinity Vallley CC following a one-year stint with Louisiana in 2020. This past season he was an NJCAA honorable mention, as the shutdown DB blanketed receivers and hardly allowed any action to even come his way. He earned an interception in his final game.
 
Attending Stafford High School from Missouri City, Texas, Hawkins was a two-time First Team All-District DB. He had 46 tackles during his senior season, along with 2.0 TFL, one interception and one forced fumble. He held offers from Air Force, New Mexico State, Tulane, Tulsa and Vanderbilt before signing with the Ragin' Cajuns.
