Joiner played the last two seasons at Houston, appearing in 13 total games, including 11 of 13 for the Cougars this past season. He made his collegiate debut against Rice in 2024.
 
Playing for Grandview High School, Joiner was a three-star prospect by 247Sports, the Kansas City Star Scholar-Athlete High School Award Winner, the nation's No. 72 interior offensive lineman (247Sports) and Missouri's No. 20 overall player (247Sports). He was a four-time All-Conference offensive lineman, a three-time All-District offensive lineman, and a two-time First Team All-State offensive lineman. He played both sides of the line of scrimmage as junior. He participated in three sports in high school (football, wrestling and track and field), a three-year All-Conference honoree in track and field, a two-time shotput state champion (2023-24), and 2024 wrestling heavyweight state champion.
 
Joiner, a Kansas City, Missouri, native, will major in kinesiology at Tarleton State University. He is the brother of Tarleton State tight end Danny Joiner.
