Adams joins the Texans from Coastal Carolina, where he played last season. He appeared in 12 of 13 games on the year, recording a fumble recovery, three pass breakups and 13 total tackles. He closed the year with a fumble recovery against Louisiana Tech in the Independence Bowl.

Adams spent his first two collegiate years at Northwest Mississippi Community College. In 2024, he earned First-Team NJCAA Division I All-American accolades, finishing the season with eight interceptions, including four in an early-season victory against East Mississippi and one in the NJCAA Semifinals at Iowa Western. He also led the team with 13 pass breakups and finished with 178 interception yards, the third-most in a single season and the most by any Northwest player since 1995. As a true freshman in 2023, Adams played in nine games, totaling 16 tackles, six pass breakups, one forced fumble and an interception. He also spent a significant time on special teams, returning 20 punts for 182 yards. Off the field, he was named to the Fall 2023 President’s List and the Spring 2024 Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
 
Adams played at the prep level at Tupelo High School. He helped the Golden Wave to a 13-1 record, the Region 2-6A championship and the Class 6A semifinals in 2022. He collected 46 tackles, 22 passes defended, six interceptions, a tackle for loss and a forced fumble that season, including a season-high nine tackles in a playoff win against Madison Central. He earned All-State and All-Region accolades that year.
 
Adams, a Tupelo, Mississippi, native, will major in general studies at Tarleton State University.
