Tarleton State University Athletics

Kelly played the last two seasons at UTSA, playing in a combined 14 games. He made seven tackles, including six across 13 games this past season. He debuted last year at No. 19 Texas A&M with a season-high three tackles. In 2024, he saw action in the 44-15 victory over Coastal Carolina in the Myrtle Beach Bowl and recorded one tackle.
 
Kelly starred at Denison High School, where he was a First-Team All-District 7-5A Division II selection at safety as a senior. He posted 82 total tackles, four tackles for loss, an interception and two fumble recoveries in 2023. He was a four-star prospect by 247Sports and a three-star prospect by Rivals and Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, which ranked him as the No. 16 safety in the state. His junior year, he registered 92 total tackles, three tackles for loss, four interceptions and three fumble recoveries. Kelly also competed for the track and field team, with personal bests of 22.91 in the 200m and 42-11 in the triple jump.
 
Kelly, a Denison, Texas, native, will major in sociology at Tarleton State University.
