Biography

Dearth stays in Stephenville to join Tarleton State from Stephenville High School. He played four varsity years, spending two years as a captain, helping the Yellow Jackets to a state championship this past year and unblemished 16-0 season. He was the District and Team MVP, plus First Team All-State. Dearth logged 81 tackles, 26 TFL’s, two sacks, 13 quarterback hurries, two pass deflections, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He also competes in track and field, throwing the shot put.

Dearth’s father, James Dearth, is a Tarleton State Athletics Hall of Famer and current Tarleton State Assistant Track and Field Coach. Dearth’s brother, Kendall Dearth, played five seasons at Tarleton State on the offensive line from 2018-22, a First Team All-Conference player.
 
Dearth, a Stephenville, Texas, native, will major in kinesiology at Tarleton State University.
