“Mekhi Gibson, a slot receiver, a big, big play guy, explosive,” Whitten said. “Great highlight film on this guy, he was a great player at the Division 2 level, and once again, those guys usually play really well at our level. Coming from a winning program there at Kutztown, he’s a really dynamic guy, we think he will step right into that slot position and create a lot of competition in that room. We hope that somebody in that group can pick up where (Benjamin Omayebu) left off.”
Gibson is a Trenton, New Jersey, native. He played four varsity years at Ewing High School in Ewing, New Jersey, earning First Team All-Patriotic honors at wide receiver and First Team All-Colonial recognition at running back. Gibson will study sports management at Tarleton State University.
