Biography

Collins started three varsity years at Waco Midway High School in his hometown of Waco, Texas. He was twice named First Team All-District at offensive tackle, he was Lineman of the Year as a sophomore and junior, Mr. Offensive Player of the Year his senior year, and was twice First Team Super Centex at offensive tackles. Collins did not allow a sack in his prep career.
 
“Coach Carey is really high on Michael Collins, he has a great frame,” Whitten said. “We like to sign young linemen, line of scrimmage players every year.”
 
Collins was an Academic All-State honorable mention. He will study business at Tarleton State University.
