Biography
Hodge joins the Texans after spending last season at Lackawanna College, where he was the JUCO program’s leading receiver. He recorded 559 yards and three touchdowns on 34 receptions across 10 games, ending the year with a season-high 102 yards on six receptions against Georgia Military College on Nov. 9. Hodge totaled 50-plus yards in seven of his 10 games played, scoring a touchdown in three different contests. He also spent time at kick returner and put returner, his longest return a 33-yard run against Monroe on Nov. 2. Hodge spent his first collegiate season at Old Dominion in 2022.
“Michael Hodge, one of the more talented guys on our signing list,” Whitten said. “He was an elite, elite junior college player at Lackawanna, one of the best in the country. He is one of the best players that I saw out there this year, really great with the ball in his hand and a really dynamic guy. We’re going to have a lot of competition in that receiver room.”
Hodge is a Richmond, Virginia, native, who played his prep career at Highland Springs High School there. He was a Second Team All-Region WR, Second Team Offense All-Region and Third Team All-Region RB, helping his team win the state championship in 2018 with a 15-0 record. Hodge will study graphic design at Tarleton State University.
