Biography
Hookfin transfers to Tarleton State after spending four years at Southeastern Oklahoma State (2021-24). After redshirting his freshman campaign, Hookfin played in 28 career games over the past three years, totaling 113 tackles, six interceptions, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, 7.5 tackles for loss, 13 pass breakups and a blocked kick. This past season, Hookfin had four interceptions (including a pick-six), three forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, nine pass breakups, 41 tackles and two tackles for loss in 10 games. He was an All-Great American Conference Third Team honoree, ranked fifth in the conference in interceptions, second in passes defended (13).
“He was a highly decorated player at Southeastern Oklahoma State, so we’re excited to have him,” Whitten said.
Hookfin is a Spring, Texas, native, who played two varsity years at Klein Collins High School. He logged Second Team All-District honors there, earning four interceptions his junior year. Hookfin will major in marketing at Tarleton State University.
