Tarleton State University Athletics

Potts arrives at Tarleton State after three seasons spent in Nacogdoches, Texas, with Stephen F. Austin. He played in a combined 32 games for the ‘Jacks, earning his best season last year for the Southland Conference champs. He posted 3.5 sacks, 6.5 TFL, a fumble recovery and 31 total tackles across 12 games. He was fifth on the team in sacks, adding three quarterback hurries. In 2024, Potts had 2.5 sacks, 4.5. TFL and 28 tackles in 10 games.
 
Potts played his prep football at Manvel High School, where he was 2021-22 District 10-5A Defensive MVP, the first such award in Manvel history. He was also a Houston Area Touchdown Club Defensive MVP Finalist, plus was twice First Team All-District. He played four varsity years.
