Tarleton State University Athletics

Dameon Myres joined the Tarleton Athletics staff in September 2007 as the school’s first ever full-time assistant sports information director. After serving one year as the sports information intern, Myres steps into the full-time role. He will be the primary media relations contact for TexAnn volleyball and basketball and the Texan baseball programs.

Myres is responsible for the publicity of these teams and coordinating all media interviews between student-athletes, coaches and staff with the local and national media. His duties include: writing and editing media guides, game recaps, press releases, game notes, game programs and feature stories. He is also responsible for updating and maintaining the volleyball, women’s basketball and baseball websites on TarletonSports.com.

Myres graduated from Tarleton in August 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in communications. While at Tarleton, Myres served as a sports writer for The J-Tac, Tarleton’s campus newspaper. The Azle native resides in Stephenville.
