2007: Started all 56 games for the TexAnns... Hit .250 for the season with 11 homeruns and 46 runs batted in... All-LSC South Division Honorable Mention...

JUCO: Transfers to Tarleton from McLennan Community College... High School: 2005 graduate of Smithson Valley High School... Twice named to First Team All-District 26-5A team... Team was regional semifinals champion her senior year... Selected to state all-tournament team... Named second team all-district... Two-time honoree on the all-city team...

Personal: Daughter of Derald and Melanie LaRue... Brother Shawn played baseball for Tarleton and her other brother Jason currently plays for the Kansas City Royals...

Coach Mata says: Brooke is such a savvy softball player who has overcome injury and being sidelined for a year now... and she just seems ready to bust at the seams to get back in the game. She loves the game, without doubt, and when you combine that with what she can do on defense and at the plate, she should have a GREAT season.
