High School: Named first team all-district catcher and Most Valuable Defensive Player... Earned second team all-district volleyball honors... Was tennis MVP all four years... Selected for the Lion Spirit Award...

     
Personal: Graduated from Granger High School in 2006... Parents are Heidi and Brett Derning... Father was a pitcher fo the University of Georgia and played semi-pro baseball for nine years... Has one brother, Kevin, and one sister, Julia... Says her goal for the season is to give her best to the team... Major is exercise and sports studies... Birthday is June 2, 1988....

           
Coach Mata says: Kaci has a good first step in the outfield and has quick hands at the plate.  She has the ability to be one of the better outfielders we’ve had in the program.
