Tarleton State University Athletics

Junior (13-14):
   Competed in nine meets for the TexAnns… Recorded six top-five finishes throughout the indoor and outdoor seasons… Set a personal best in the indoor weight throw of 15.11m (49’ 7”)… Recorded personal best of 33.70m (110’ 7”) and 46.75m (153’ 4”) in the discus and hammer, respectively… Bronze medalists in the hammer throw at the Lone Star Conference championships.
 
Sophomore (12-13):
    Competed in six track meets for the TexAnns… Competed in three events – shot put, hammer, discus…Recorded season best mark in shot put 12.37m (40’ 7”) and hammer 40.20m (131’ 11”) at the David Noble/Angelo State Relays and in discus at the McMurry Tri-Meet 31.75m (104’ 2”)… Competed at the LSC Championships in two events finishing 17th in shot put 10.54m (34’7”).
 
Texas Lutheran University:
    Her team won the conference championship... Won the conference championship in shot put with a throw of 41' - 10''... Set the school record in shot put
 
Giddings High School:
    Lettered four years in track and field and two years in powerlifting... Back-to-back state powerlifting champion as a junior and a senior... National qualifier and placer as a member of AAU Track and Field... Coached AAU Track and Field and had athletes advance to nationals and place... Four-year member of the honor roll... President of Black History as a senior... Black History Homecoming representative as a senior.
 
Personal:
    Is a 2011 graduate of Giddings High School... Daughter of Janelle and Don Johnson... Has a brother, Brandon... Brother, Brandon, played football for Tarleton State and is one of two players in Tarleton history to be named to the All-State Good Works Team... Majoring in Kinesiology... Born Feb. 4, 1993.
