Biography
Sophomore (13-14)
Competed in 12 track meets as a sophomore… Competed in the 200m, 400m and 4x400m relay for the Texans… Was a part of the DMR that won an LSC indoor title in 10:10.15… Finished third in the LSC indoor 400m (48.84) and first in the 4x400m relay at the same meet in an NCAA provisional time of 3:14.46… Recorded 20 top-five finished throughout the indoor and outdoor seasons… Qualified for the national championships in the 400m with a personal best of 47.60 at the East Texas Invite… Finished 20th at the national championships in the 400m clocking 48.62… Received NCAA South Central All-Region honors in the 400m and 4x400m relay…Was part of the 4x400m squad that broke a 24-year-old school record two times throughout the season clocking a season best of 3:09.17 en route to finishing the season as an All-American with a sixth place finish at the NCAA National Championships in Allendale, Michigan.
Freshman (12-13):
Competed in six track meets for the Texans as a quarter miler… Ran a personal best time in the 400m at the LSC Championships finishing the prelims with the fastest time of 47.61… Was also a part of the mens 4x400m relay that ran a season best 3:13.84, running third leg and helping them to a second place finish and an NCAA provisional time… Recorded three NCAA provisional times during the season.
Southwest Christian School:
Was a four-year letterman in track and field and a two-year letterman in football and basketball... Was a track and field captain... As a senior in track, won the 400m state championship, as well as the district and regional championship... Holds the 4A state meet record in the 400m... State runner-up in the 4x400m relay... All-state 200m runner... Set the school record in the 800m, 400m, 200m, Long Jump, Triple Jump, 4x400m relay and 4x200m relay... Member of the National Honor Society.
