Career Accolades 
Ranks second in school history in the javelin (152’ 10”) … Finished fourth at the 2022 WAC Outdoor Championships to earn All-WAC second team honors. 

Junior (2022) 
Threw the javelin at six meets … Her season and lifetime personal record of 152’ 10” ranked second in the WAC, 15th in the NCAA South Central Region and 89th among all D1 athletes … Earned her first career set of All-WAC credentials after finishing fourth at the WAC Outdoor Championships … Medaled at all five of Tarleton’s regular season meets … Won the North Texas Classic and finished second at the ACU Wes Kittley Invitational, Baylor Invitational, SFA Invite and UTA Invitational … Slung the spear 152’ 10” at SFA to secure a lifetime personal record. 

Sam Houston
Was a two-sport athlete … Played three seasons of volleyball for the Bearkats as an outside hitter from 2018-2021 and threw the javelin during the 2021 outdoor track and field season … Earned All-Conference second team accolades after finishing fifth in the javelin (136’ 1”) at the Southland Conference Outdoor Championships … Won the javelin throw at the Tom Tellez Invitational with a toss of 131’ 3” … On the volleyball court, appeared in 44 matches in a three-year span … Concluded her volleyball career in Huntsville with 112 kills and 107 total blocks … Averaged 1.20 points and 0.77 kills per set and posted a career .153 hitting percentage. 

Assumption High School 
Earned four varsity letters apiece in track and field and volleyball … All-State javelin thrower … Broke the school record with a personal best throw of 133’ 4” … Finished as the runner-up at the LHSAA 4A Track and Field Championships all four years … First team All-District honoree in volleyball as a junior and senior … Earned second team All-District recognition during her sophomore year and was named to the All-District honorable mention team as a freshman … Led Assumption to the state semifinals all four years … Competed on the club circuit for three years for Louisiana Volleyball … Also played two years of varsity softball and received one varsity letter in powerlifting …  Was an honor roll student … Maintained a GPA above 3.5 on a 4.0 scale throughout high school.

2018 graduate of Assumption HS in Napoleonville, LA … Is also a member of the Tarleton volleyball team … Daughter of Kevin and Liz Smith … Has two brothers, Owen and Beau … Grandfather’s nephew is television personality Troy Landry, who stars in “Swamp People” … Majoring in kinesiology … Born Apr. 27.
