Freshman (2018):
Competed in seven meets for the Texans … Ran a career best time in the mile run (4:18.86) at the Texas Tech Red & Black Open … Ran a career best in the 3000-meter run (8:51.63) at the Texas Tech Red & Black Open … Was a member of the Distance Medley Relay that ran a season best at the Texas Tech Open with a time of 10:19.02 … Also competed in the 1500-meter run (3:56.18) and the 5000-meter run (16:54.78) where he ran his career best at the Lone Star Conference Outdoor Championships.
Hendrickson High School:
Lettered in cross country and track four years, in which he also served as team captain… Helped lead cross country team to back to back district championships in 2015 and 2016… Qualified for state in cross country as a team in 2016… Received academic all-district… Placed 13th at the 2015 State 6A Cross Country Championships.

Is a 2017 graduate of Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville, Texas… Is the son of Richard Botello and Melinda Patino… Has a brother, Aaron… Majoring in Kinesiology… Born April 8, 1999.
