Biography
Junior (13-14):
Competed in cross country and track and field for the Texans… Competed in nine track meets finishing indoor with season best of 4:43.35 (Mile), 2:45.12 (1000m) and 2:01.14 (800m)… Had two top-five finishes during outdoor season… Recorded personal best in the 800m (1:58.23), 1500m (4:13.60) and 5000m (15:42.37)… Competed in four cross country meets recording two top-25 finishes… Ran a season best 28:40.0 at the Incarnate Word Invitational in a meet that saw every Texan runner set personal best.
Sophomore (2012-13):
Competed in cross country and track and field for Tarleton... Ran in four cross country meets in the fall, finishing as high as 28th at the ASU Blue and Gold... Ran in four track and field meets, competing in the 800m run at all four and the 1500m run at McMurry... Ran a season-high 2:03.18 in the 800m run at Texas A&M-Commerce... Named to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Freshman (2011-12):
Ran sprints for the Tarleton track and field team as a freshman... Finished the 800m in a season-best time of 2:01.89 at the LSC Championship Meet in Commerce.
Jourdanton High School:
Lettered in track & field, cross country, football, basketball, baseball and golf... Was a captain in football and basketball... Four-time track & field regional qualifier... Three-time cross country regional qualifier... Three-time track & field district champion... Won a regional championship in basketball in 2008, an area championship in 2009 and a bi-district championship in 2010... Won a district baseball championship in 2010... In football, named first-team all-district safety and second-team all-district quarterback... First-team academic all-district in basketball... First-team all-district in baseball... Member of the National Honor Society... Student council vice president... Recipient of the US National Leadership and Service Award... Principal's Honor Grad.
