When the 2026-27 season begins, Sellena Burger-Fennell will begin her first season at Tarleton State as an athletic trainer working with the volleyball and beach volleyball programs.
Burger-Fennell arrives at Tarleton State from Stephen F. Austin, where she worked as the Head Baseball Athletic Trainer since 2023. Prior to Stephen F. Austin, Burger-Fennell worked with Spartanburg Methodist College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, as a Resident Athletic Trainer. During this rehab residency program, she worked with Women's Basketball, Men's Soccer and Softball.
Prior to her professional experience, Burger-Fennell earned her master's degree in Athletic Training from Tarleton State in 2022, where she worked with the baseball and football programs. Burger-Fennell also gained experience working in the secondary setting and Cisco College.
A native of Weatherford, Texas, Burger-Fennell earned her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Tarleton State in 2020.
