Tarleton State University Athletics

Entering 2026-27, Vanessa Ekstrom will begin her first season as a Graduate Assistant with Tarleton State Athletics. She was elevated to this position in August 2026 after spending her first three years at Tarleton State as a Creative Intern for the Tarleton Sports Internship. 
 

In her role, Ekstrom will serve as the primary contact for the baseball and beach volleyball programs. Prior to joining Tarleton State Athletics as a graduate assistant, Ekstrom spent three years with the internship program, gaining experience in sports media, content creation and game day operations. She also served as Student Senior Marketing and Communications Specialist for Tarleton State Intramural Sports, where she assisted with marketing, social media, and promotional efforts for the department.

Ekstrom is a League City, Texas, native, and is studying Communication at Tarleton State University. She resides in Stephenville.
