When the 2025-26 season begins, Dr. Eileen Faulkenberry will begin her seventh year as the Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) for Tarleton State Athletics. Her role as the FAR includes ensuring the academic integrity of the intercollegiate athletics program and enhancing the student-athlete experience at Tarleton State University.

Dr. Faulkenberry will begin her 13th year at Tarleton State, where she serves as the Dean of the Honors College and Professor of Mathematics, and her 23nd year as a professor in the Texas A&M University system.Â

She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Henderson State in 1996 before earning her master’s degree in math from Oklahoma State University in 2001. She earned her Ph.D. in mathematics education in 2003 from Oklahoma State.

Dr. Faulkenberry is married to Dr. Tom Faulkenberry, who is the Associate Dean of the College of Graduate Studies and Professor of Psychological Sciences at Tarleton State. The couple has three children – Emily, Elena, and Will. They regularly attend Tarleton State Athletics events and received a President’s All-Purple award in 2016.
