AUSTIN - The Tarleton women's basketball team shot .667 from the field in the second-half on their way to a .527 percent day and a 75-47 win over St. Edward's at the Recreation and Convocation Center in Austin on Saturday.
The TexAnns did not have much trouble from the floor in the first-half as they shot .419 from the field, but along with a 4-for-4 performance from the three-point line in the second-half, the TexAnns took control of a game that looked as if it could have went either way.
The Tarleton defense held the Hilltoppers to just .232 percent from the field as SEU made just six baskets in the first-half and seven in the second-half.  Nearly half of SEU's points (19) came from the charity stripe as Tarleton was called for 17 personal fouls on the day.  
Tori Skare led the the TexAnns with 13 points on the day while going 3-for-4 from beyond the arc.  
Morgan Stehling followed with 11 points and two three-pointers off the bench.  
Kelsey Benford added a spark off the bench as well, recording eight points and pulling down seven rebounds.  
Shelby Adamson had 11 points on the day for the TexAnns as well.
SEU was lead by their inside post player, Sara Head, who finished the day with a game-high 15 points and 11 rebounds.  Shaniqua Adams led all players with three steals.
The TexAnns will return to action this coming Tuesday, Dec. 1 with a home contest against the No. 18th-ranked Central Oklahoma Bronchos.  Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
