TUSCON, Ariz. - The Collegiate Baseball Newspaper released their weekly NCAA Division II national rankings Monday and put Tarleton at No. 18.
The Texans were ranked No. 25 last week and got back into the top 20 with a win over Hardin Simmons Tuesday and three wins over Northeastern St. They improved their record 28-7 on the year.
Tarleton got as high as No. 15 this season, with 18th being the second highest ranking in program history.
West Florida stayed at No. 1 for the second straight week, while Central Missouri, Mount Olive, Grand Valley St., and Emporia St. round out the top five.
The Texans will look to defend their ranking on Tuesday when they travel to Texas Wesleyan.
