TUSCON, Ariz. - The NCAA Division II national rankings were released Monday by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper and moved Tarleton up eight spots to No. 22 in the nation.
The Texans (33-10) won all four meetings last week, including a series sweep of Eastern New Mexico over the weekend.
This puts Tarleton back in the top 25 after being No. 30 in last week's poll.
West Florida remained at No. 1 yet again, followed by Mount Olive and Grand Valley St. South Central Regional opponents Emporia State and Central Missouri round out the top five.
Tarleton is the highest ranked Lone Star Conference team, while Southeastern Oklahoma was at No. 27 and Incarnate Word was tied at No. 30 this week.
The Texans game against Hardin-Simmons Tuesday has been canceled so their next contest is this Friday, April 29 at West Texas A&M.
