STEPHENVILLE - The Tarleton baseball team will take on the Buffaloes of West Texas A&M Friday and Saturday in the final series of the regular season.
The Texans improved their season record to 33-10 with four victories this past week. Tarleton crushed St. Edward's 14-4 on Tuesday before picking up a series sweep of Eastern New Mexico over the weekend. With a 21-9 Lone Star Conference record, the Texans now sit in third place in the league.
As a team, Tarleton has combined for a .312 batting average, a .412 on-base percentage and a .502 slugging percentage.
Ethan Stuckly leads the way with a .399 average, 23 extra-base hits and 41 RBI's.
Mark Jeffery has added a. 350 average and 38 RBI's, while
Chris Casazza has 38 RBI's and 14 home runs on the season. Batting in the lead-off spot,
Landon McCall leads the team with 15 stolen bases and 43 runs scored.
Tarleton has led the conference all season in fielding percentage and continues to do so with a .967 mark.

Ryan Turner has already set a school record with 10 saves on the year, but also leads the team with 50 k's and a 3.03 ERA. Overall, the Texans have a 4.93 ERA compared to opponents' 6.73 ERA.
West Texas A&M is 29-17 on the year and 16-14 in the LSC. They have been nearly untouchable at home though, posting a 21-5 mark in Canyon. The Buffaloes are the most dangerous offensive team in the nation, leading all of Division II with a team batting average of .361. They are led by the most dangerous hitter country, Jess Cooper, who also leads Division II with a .497 average to go along with 50 RBI's and a .771 slugging percentage. Kendall Boone has a team-high 55 RBI's, while Jordan Easom has chipped in 50 more.
The Buffalo pitching staff has an overall ERA of 5.98. They are led by Irving Camacho, who has a 6-3 record, two complete games and a 6.37 ERA. Justin Kuks has 65 strikeouts in 65.1 innings pitched, as well as three saves and a 7-5 record.
First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. on Friday, April 29 with the doubleheader Saturday, April 30 starting at 1 p.m.
