STEPHENVILLE - Tarleton has announced the signing of its new offensive coordinator for the 2012 football season.
Assistant coach Justin Carrigan has been promoted to the role in just his third year with the Texans after serving as the quarterback coach in 2010 and the receivers coach in 2010.
"I'm very excited to announce that Justin will be taking over as the offensive coordinator," said head coach Cary Fowler. "Justin has been with me for a long time and he's not going to change what we're trying to do offensively, he's just going to add his own personality to it."
Carrigan was with Fowler at Midwestern State from 2005-08 before heading west for a one-year stint at the University of Texas-El Paso. He came to Tarleton in 2010.
In addition to his newly acquired duties, Carrigan will also resume the role of coaching quarterbacks.
