STEPHENVILLE - The biggest game of the season, thus far, is going national as Fox Sports Southwest will be on-hand to stream the Tarleton TexAnns (14-5, 11-0) and Midwestern State (14-3, 10-1) battle for first-place in the Lone Star Conference Saturday in Wisdom Gym.
The first-place TexAnns are riding a 12-game winning streak and host the second-seeded Mustangs, who have won their last 10, at 5 p.m. with FS Southwest streaming the game on their website.
Tarleton has also won the last 12 against Midwestern, while the 'Stangs have not won in Stephenville since Dec. 12, 2003.
Tarleton returns to action after having just defeated third-place Cameron on the road, 68-47, while MSU is coming off a 74-58 win over Texas A&M-Commerce.
This match-up features the two top scoring offenses in the conference, with MSU averaging 73.9 ppg and Tarleton at 72.7.
Prior to Wednesday, Tarleton was averaging 90 points per contest over their last three games and scored 68 against Cameron - the 10th best scoring defense in the nation.
Midwestern, however, relies heavily on turnovers - forcing 10.6 steals per game to lead the LSC and a turnover margin of +5.88 - for their points and not turning it over on offense.
The TexAnns have three players averaging over 13 points per contest: Shelby Adamson (13.9), Kiara Wright (13.8) and Peyton Adamson (13.6), while Midwestern State is led by Savannah Carver and Kirsti Degelia with 15.5 ppg and 10.5 ppg, respectively.
For Tarleton, the Adamson sisters are making the national spotlight this season.
Peyton is 14th in the nation in 3-pointers made per game and 19th in 3-point percentage, while Shelby is 29th in assists with 4.8 apg.
Shelby also enters Saturday's game four points shy of becoming the sixth player ever to crack 1,400 points for her career. She is also two assists shy of tying Katie Crawford for fourth on the all-time assist list.
The 51st match-up between Tarleton and Midwestern State tips off at 5 p.m. from Wisdom Gym.
It is 'Pack the Gym' night as the TexAnns look to maintain a hold on first place in the LSC. The men's game will follow immediately as the No. 4 Texans and No. 10 Mustangs also battle for first place.
