The Rambelles made a late surge to pull within five, but Kiara Wright hit a layup with 20 seconds to push the lead back to seven entering halftime.

Out of the break, Angelo struck first to pull back to five at 33-28.

Wright answered with a layup that started a game-clinching run which continued to build down to the final minutes. From the 18:42 mark through the 3:00 mark, Tarleton outscored Angelo State 40-16 to secure the win.
