LAST TIME OUT

Tarleton opened LSC play by hosting Cameron last Friday night and Midwestern State on Saturday afternoon. The TexAnns lost the opening set against the Aggies, but Jazmine Green sparked the Tarleton comeback to beat Cameron in four sets. The momentum carried into Saturday's affair as Tarleton handled Midwestern State in straight sets for their fastest victory of the season - one hour and five minutes.

SERIES HISTORY

St. Mary's owns the all-time series record 11-4 dating back to the first-ever meeting in 1998, but Tarleton has had the most recent success. The TexAnns have won four of the last six meetings, despite falling in five sets last year in San Antonio.

SCOUTING THE RATTLERS

The Rattlers got off to a rough start the season, dropping their first four matches of the season at the Rattler/Hilltopper Classic with one of the losses a five-set loss to Texas Woman's in the tournament finale. They rebounded to win three straight including back-to-back wins over LSC members, Midwestern State and Texas A&M-Kingsville. They have gone 1-2 over their last three games with the lone win coming against St. Edwards - giving the Rattlers their first win over SEU since the 2007 season.

GOING GREEN

Jazmine Green put together arguably the best weekend of her Tarleton career last week, coming off the bench to spark the TexAnns to a comeback, four-set victory over Cameron and a sweep of Midwestern State. The senior from Houston had 22 kills, including a career-high 14 against Cameron Friday night. Her 22 kills for the weekend were second on the team. She led the team in hitting percentage at .390 and scoring 24.0 points for the TexAnns in two games. Green also four assisted blocks and nine digs.

BARKER EYES HARTMAN AS ALL-TIME ASSISTS LEADER
Last weekend, Danielle Barker passed Christina Ortiz (2,313) for second place on Tarleton's all-time assist list. The senior from Amarillo enters the weekend with 417 assists on the season, giving her 2,543 for her career. Barker is currently 723 assists shy of tying her former teammate for the all-time lead in this category in the history of Tarleton volleyball. Barker is also 457 assists away from joining Hartman as the only two TexAnns to eclipse the 3,000 assists mark.

KLEIN CLOSING IN ON LISTER

Emily Klein is currently in third-place all-time on the Tarleton career digs list and is closing in on that second place spot - currently held by Sharon Lister with 1,463. Klein has 1,262 career digs, making her 201 digs shy of tying Lister's mark. Klein's former teammate, Shea McBrearty, is the school's all-time digs leader with 1,847.

TAKING A BREAK FROM LSC
Under the direction of head coach Mary Schindler, Tarleton is 27-16 in non-conference games that occur after starting LSC action. This does not include LSC Crossover games that happened when the LSC had North and South divisions.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON

Tarleton hits the road for its first LSC road action of the year. The TexAnns will play Texas A&M-Kingsville Friday night at 7 p.m. They were originally scheduled to play Our Lady of the Lake in San Antonio Saturday afternoon, but that game was cancelled due to scheduling conflicts between the two programs.
