SAN ANTONIO - For the second meet in a row, Tarleton men's cross country team returns to Stephenville with a first place finish while the women finish third.

In back-to-back meets,
Dylan Willett has a top-three finish and set a new personal record in the 8-kilomoter race of 24:49.1. The junior from San Antonio finished the race running at a pace of 4:59.6 per mile among a field of 171 athletes.

"The guys ran well," said head cross country coach
Pat Ponder. "Every single guy who ran today set a new PR."

After not competing in the first meet of the season
Thorne Pettigrew now has two top-20 finishes after finishing 18
th place in 25:39.0.

Running in the middle of the pack for Tarleton were

th wrapped up the meet for the men finishing in 27:58.9 and 28:40.0, respectively.

Led by
Tylo Farrar, in a strong downpour of rain which started approximately a mile into the race, the women's team ran their way to a third straight top-three finish.

Farrar, who has led the women in each of the two previous meets with fifth and third place finishes, continued to lead the TexAnns with an eighth-place finish in San Antonio on Saturday.

Farrar, a junior transfer from Midwestern State, crossed the line in 23:28.5 less than a minute behind Diana Garcia of Abilene Christian who won the race in 22:54.2.
