LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton State split matches this past weekend against Eastern New Mexico and West Texas A&M. The TexAnns took care of the Zias in straight sets controlling the game from start to finish. The Tarleton defense held the Zias in check, to the tune of a (-).031 hitting percentage for the match. Eastern landed just 25 kills in three matches while committing 28 errors on 98 attacks. The TexAnns fell to West Texas A&M Saturday 3-0.

TEXANNS AT NO. 6
On the strength of a 20-6 season, Tarleton is currently sitting at No. 6 in the South Central regional rankings – the highest regional position in school history. This is just the third time in school history the TexAnns have ever cracked the top-10 in the regional rankings, never raising higher than No. 9 back in 2012 when the TexAnns tied a school record for wins with 23.

BEAT UP THE BLOCK
Tarleton junior middle blocker, Kenya Alexander has resumed the national lead in blocks per set this season. Alexander averages 1.45 blocks per set blocking 142 kill attempts in just 98 sets this season with 49 being solo blocks. She is currently one block behind national leader Callie Whetstone of Missouri Southern State in total blocks.

TARLETON vs ANGELO STATE
This will be the 42nd meeting between the TexAnns and Rambelles since the inaugural meeting in 1978. Tarleton State has won 12, including the last meeting October 3rd in Wisdom Gym sending the Rambelles home in straight sets. On Nov. 16 of last year, the TexAnns battled back from a 0-2 deficit to beat Angelo State for the first time since the 2006 season.

WINNIN' 20
Mary Schindler has now led the TexAnns to five 20-win seasons in her decade on the bench. Tarleton had only five 20-win seasons before Schindler became the coach in 2005.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
Tarleton State will head to the campus of West Texas A&M in Canyon for the Lone Star Conference Championship Tournament November 13-15.
