Coming off a 50-point blowout of Arlington Baptist Tuesday night, No. 7 Tarleton State will host St. Mary's in a South Central regional showdown at Wisdom Gym Saturday night at 7 p.m.

THE BROADCAST
The game will have a live radio broadcast presented by the Tarleton Sports Network presented by North Texas Ford Dealers. The Voice of the Texans, Casey Hogan, will be back calling the play-by-play for Tarleton basketball this season. The radio broadcast can be heard on KTRL 90.5 FM in Stephenville and surrounding areas or online at TarletonSports.com/ListenLive. The pregame show will begin 15 minutes prior to tip-off.

THE OPPONENT
Led by eight seniors, St. Mary's has opened the season with three wins over its first six games - including two straight against Lone Star Conference opponents. The Rattlers opened the season 1-4 but have since defeated Midwestern State (63-50) and Texas A&M-Kingsville (60-55).

THE SERIES
Since the series made its debut under head coach Lonn Reisman in 1999, this is the 15th meeting between the Texans and Rattlers. Tarleton holds the advantage 10-4 in the series and is 9-0 in games played in Stephenville. The last time these two teams met came in the quarterfinals of the 2008 South Central Regional Tournament in Stephenville when the Texans won 70-64 on March 15.

STARTING OUT 6-0
The Texans have started the season 6-0 in three seasons since joining the NCAA in 1994. The first 6-0 start came in the 2006-07 season and now the Texans have started each of the last two seasons with a perfect 6-0 mark.

LOOKING TO GO 7-0
Tarleton State has only started a season 7-0 one time under head coach Lonn Reisman - last year in the midst of a senior-college era record winning streak of 18-straight victories to open the season.

CHEER NIGHT AT TARLETON
The Tarleton Cheerleaders will be signing autographs in the lobby after the game.

TARLETON IN NATIONAL POLLS
After starting the season ranked No. 12 in the nation, Tarleton State has since moved up five total spots to No. 7 in the latest edition of the polls after starting the season 6-0. This now marks the 20th consecutive week in which Tarleton has appeared in the national rankings after joining the top-25 on Nov. 19 last season.

IN SEARCH OF SEVEN-GAME STREAK
After winning their sixth straight game Tuesday night, Tarleton heads into Saturday's game in search of its seventh straight win.
