STEPHENVILLE – The Tarleton State Texans (21-17, 11-13 LSC) will host the Cameron Aggies (13-23, 7-17 LSC) this Friday and Saturday, April 18-19, at Cecil Ballow Baseball Complex in Stephenville.

The two squads will play a pair of doubleheaders, with Friday's action set to begin at 1 p.m. and the Texan players scheduled to sign autographs for fans following game two. The Texans and Aggies will then closeout the series on Saturday, with a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m.

The Texans are coming off an 8-7 loss to St. Mary's on Tuesday, but have won three straight games over LSC teams thanks to a series sweep over Angelo State in Stephenville last weekend. Meanwhile, Cameron is coming off a 15-6 non-conference win over Southwestern Oklahoma, but the Aggies had dropped four straight conference games dating back to its series with the Rams back on April 5th.

Tarleton is hitting .289 as a team and are led at the plate by Jared Musgrove, who heads into the weekend hitting a league-best .425 on the season. Alvaro Moreno is hitting .350 on the year and currently leads the Texans with 49 base hits. Rustin Thomas and Noel Nevarez lead the team with six home runs on the year and Nevarez has a team-high 25 runs batted in as well.

The Texans have posted a team earned run average of 3.85 and are led by Ross Wagliardo, who has a 2.08 ERA in four appearances. Garrett Kelly is right behind him with a 2.28 ERA in 16 visits to the mound.

Jacob French leads the team with five wins and Ethan Lenz is tied for the league-lead with seven saves so far on the season.

Cameron comes in hitting .264 as a team and has posted an ERA of 5.08.

The Texans are currently fourth place in the LSC standings, but are just one game back of ASU for third place. The top four teams at the conclusion of the regular season will go on to compete in the LSC Championship Tournament.
