DECADE OF DOMINANCE
Since the 2005-06 season, Tarleton State has turned the series against Midwestern State upside down. The TexAnns have won 16 of the last 20 meetings, including 14 straight from 2005-2012.

THE OPPONENT
It has been a start for the record books for the Midwestern State Mustangs. After the first 14 games of the season, MSU has lost only one game - to then-No. 7 Emporia State 51-62 - and since reeled off 12 straight wins, including a 77-64 victory over No. 3 West Texas A&M last week. The Mustangs have not been away from the confines of D.L. Ligon very often this season, boasting a home-friendly schedule of 11 home games over the first 17 games of the season.

THE SERIES
The Tarleton State-Midwestern State series is the deepest in the history of TexAnn basketball. The teams have played each other 58 times, which is the most for Tarleton against any of their senior-college opponents. Tarleton trails the series 26-32, but the majority of MSU's wins came from 1987-2005 when the Mustangs won 27 of 32 meetings but Tarleton has been in complete control over the past decade by winning 16 of the last 20 since 2005.

TARLETON IN THE LSC
Tarleton State has developed into one of the premier basketball programs in the nation, as well as within the Lone Star Conference. The TexAnns earned their first league championship in 2012 and reached the finals of the LSC Championship Tournament for the second time in three years last season. Since joining the LSC as an NCAA institution in 1994, the TexAnns have a record of 164-139 against conference foes, including five seasons - four consecutive - of over 10 conference wins.
