THE GAME
For the second straight week, Tarleton State will welcome a ranked opponent into Wisdom Gym as the TexAnns and West Texas A&M Lady Buffs are set to square off Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

THE BROADCAST
The game will have a live radio broadcast presented by the Tarleton Sports Network presented by North Texas Ford Dealers. The Voice of the TexAnns, Keltin Wiens, will serve as the play-by-play for Tarleton basketball this season. The radio broadcast can be heard on KTRL 90.5 FM in Stephenville and surrounding areas or online at TarletonSports.com/ListenLive. The pregame show will begin 15 minutes prior to tip-off.

THE OPPONENT
After starting the year as the nation's preseason No. 1, West Texas A&M took a season-opening blow from Texas-Permian Basin to fall from the top spot. The Lady Buffs rebounded with a 10-game winning streak before suffering their second loss of the season at the hands of Midwestern State, who Tarleton defeated in Wisdom Gym last Wednesday. West Texas A&M bounced back from the MSU loss to win three straight over Cameron, Angelo State and Texas A&M-Kingsville entering Wednesday's affair.

THE SERIES
Tarleton and West Texas A&M have been competing in women's basketball since the TexAnns joined the NCAA in the 1994-95 season. The Lady Buffs hold the all-time lead 31-8. West Texas A&M won the first 14 meetings before the TexAnns swept the 2002 season series. Tarleton won back-to-back meetings in 2004 and in 2006 when the teams were in opposite divisions and only met once per season. After another WT run in the series, Tarleton won three straight in 2010-12, including a double-overtime thriller in Stephenville. Tarleton's last win against WT came last season when the Lady Buffs were ranked No. 3 in the nation and the TexAnns pulled off the upset on senior night in Wisdom Gym.

WILSON'S DEBUT SEASON
Misty Wilson's first season at the helm of the TexAnns has come with its share of quality opponents. At this point in the season, the combined record of Tarleton's first 14 opponents, including WT, is 118-97 for a winning percentage of .549. The opponent winning percentage increases to .590 and a record 118-82 without Texas A&M-Kingsville's 0-15 record included. This is also Wilson's second game against a ranked team this week.

TARLETON IN THE LSC
Tarleton State has developed into one of the premier basketball programs in the nation, as well as within the Lone Star Conference. The TexAnns earned their first league championship in 2012 and reached the finals of the LSC Championship Tournament for the second time in three years last season. Since joining the LSC as an NCAA institution in 1994, the TexAnns have a record of 165-140 against conference foes, including five seasons - four consecutive - of over 10 conference wins.

•With 217 career assists, Morgan Ashmore is four (4) dimes from passing Karla Dick (220) for the No. 12 spot on the all-time list.
Kathy Thomas enters Wednesday's game with 68 career 3-pointers made. She is six (6) made triples from passing Amanda Franklin (73) for 15th place all-time and into a tie for 14th all-time with Tiffanie Bowen (74).
• Thomas is also 22 points away from 500 in her career.

WILSON IN JANUARY
Since the 2010-11 season, Wilson and the TexAnns are 31-7 in the month of January.
