THE GAMES
In a rare course of events, Tarleton State will play back-to-back conference games this weekend in two different cities over the course of 22 hours when the TexAnns visit Texas A&M-Commerce Saturday at 4 p.m. before coming home for a 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon game against Texas Woman's in Wisdom Gym.

THE BROADCAST
The game will have a live radio broadcast presented by the Tarleton Sports Network presented by North Texas Ford Dealers. The Voice of the TexAnns, Keltin Wiens, will serve as the play-by-play for Tarleton basketball this season. The radio broadcast can be heard on KTRL 90.5 FM in Stephenville and surrounding areas or online at TarletonSports.com/ListenLive. The pregame show will begin 15 minutes prior to tip-off.

THE OPPONENT: TAMUC
Texas A&M-Commerce has shown significant improvement in the first year of head coach Jason Burton and enter the contest with a record of 10-7 - making this the first time since the 2008-09 season that the Lions and TexAnns have played a game when both teams have winning records. Since falling to Midwestern State on Jan. 3, the Lions have rebounded to win six of the last eight entering this weekend's contest with their latest win coming in overtime against Texas Woman's in Denton.

THE OPPONENT: TWU
After surging for a run of eight wins in 10 games since Dec. 13, Texas Woman's has now dropped two straight games entering Sunday's game with Tarleton. The Pioneers fell to West Texas A&M and Texas A&M-Commerce over the last two games and will come to town Sunday with an overall record of 12-8. The Pioneers are 5-2 in games away from Kitty Magee Arena, including neutral sites, while just 7-6 at home.

THE SERIES: TAMUC
Tarleton State and Texas A&M-Commerce have been squaring off since the inaugural meeting in 1981 and the TexAnns own the all-time record 25-17. After Tarleton won the first four meetings, the TexAnns held a slim 13-10 advantage over the course of the next 23 meetings before Commerce ran a string of six straight wins from 2006-08. Tarleton reversed the fortunes, however, with an 84-60 win in Commerce on Jan. 9, 2009 for the first win of eight wins over the next nine games entering Saturday's meeting.

THE SERIES: TWU
In game No. 40 of the all-time series, Tarleton State will look for its 28th win in 40 games against the TexAnns. Tarleton is 17-2 against TWU in Stephenville.

TARLETON IN THE LSC
Tarleton State has developed into one of the premier basketball programs in the nation, as well as within the Lone Star Conference. In addition to being a perennial national power with five straight trips to the national playoffs, Tarleton has also become a premier team in the Lone Star Conference. The TexAnns earned their first league championship in 2012 and reached the finals of the LSC Championship Tournament for the second time in three years last season. Since joining the LSC as an NCAA institution in 1994, the TexAnns have a record of 162-138 against conference foes, including five seasons - four consecutive - of over 10 conference wins.

TEXANNS IN BACK-TO-BACKS
Tarleton is no stranger to playing on quick turnarounds, having played in three tournaments this season requiring games on back-to-back days. The TexAnns are 4-2 in back-to-backs, including 2-1 on the first day of them with both wins needing overtime. Karli Moore is averaging double figures (10.2 ppg) in the six back-to-back games this season.

TOPS IN THE NATION
Tarleton State ranks among the nations best in multiple statistical categories, including:
• No. 24 in FT percentage (.758)
• No. 43 in 3-point percentage (.360)

BATTLE OF FIRST-YEAR COACHES
