The TexAnns are heading west as they resume Lone Star Conference play to take on Eastern New Mexico on Friday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. and West Texas A&M on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 5 p.m. Tarleton sits atop the LSC standings with a 9-1 record in league play.

Tarleton dropped its first match since Sept. 16 with back-to-back losses to Lubbock Christian and Newman in non-conference action.

TARLETON VS EASTERN NEW MEXICO
Tarleton swept the Greyhounds at Wisdom Gym back on Sept. 26. This will be the 41
st career match between the two schools with Tarleton winning the last two – both sweeps. Eastern New Mexico, who is 11-13 overall and 4-8 in the LSC, holds the all-time series lead at 15-25, but Tarleton has won 14 of the last 16 matches against the Grey Hounds.

TARLETON VS WEST TEXAS A&M
The TexAnns defeated the Lady Buffs 3-1 back on Sept. 25 at Wisdom Gym. It marked the first time in program history that Tarleton defeated WT in back-to-back games. WT, who is 11-13 overall and 3-9 in conference play, has lost three straight games.

CONFERENCE WINNING STREAK
Tarleton has won nine straight Lone Star Conference games. The TexAnns have gone 27-6 in sets played in the conference, including three sweeps.

NATIONAL POLL
Tarleton received 14 votes in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association poll. Angelo State, who Tarleton defeated 3-1 on Oct. 21, received 32 votes. They are the only two Lone Star Conference teams to receive votes in the AVCA poll.

PLACE IN HISTORY
Hailey Roberts, who has 522 kills on the season, needs three kill to pass Jelena Miljanic and Missy Castro for the Tarleton single-season record. Miljanic and Castro set the record with 524 in 1999 and 2004, respectively. Roberts' 509 kills her freshman year is third on the all-time list.

RECORD SETTER
Chandler Gow has 1,011 assists this season, making the sophomore only the seventh setter in school history to top the 1,000 assists mark in a season. Next on the list is Cassie Underwood at 1,048. Christina Ortiz holds the record with 1,333.

20-WIN SEASON
Tarleton is 19-5 on the season and needs one win for the tenth 20-win season in program history. It would be the sixth time Tarleton has reached 20 wins under head coach
Mary Schindler, including a school record 24 wins last season.

AWARD WINNERS
Kenya Alexander was recently named the Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week, making the senior the fifth TexAnn to win a conference weekly award this season and the third different player for Defensive Player of the Week.
Hailey Roberts has won the offensive award four times,
Chandler Gow has won the setter award twice and Alexander joins
Meg Umbel and
Ayssa Garcia for defensive honors.

LEAGUE LEADERS
Tarleton leads the Lone Star Conference in four of the six individual statistical categories listed.
Meg Umbel is first in hitting percentage (.353) and blocks per set (1.19). Umbel, who has 100 blocks on the season, is the only player in the conference with triple-digit blocks.
Hailey Roberts is tops in kills per set (6.07) and service aces per set (0.64).
Chandler Gow is second in assists per set at 11.89 and only .05 away from first.

LEADING THE NATION
Hailey Roberts leads the nation in kills with 522 – 87 more than second place. Roberts' 522 kills is also more than anyone at the Division I level (519). The sophomore from Cedar Park is tops in kills per set at 6.07 – 1.13 more than anyone else.

COUNTDOWN TO 200
Mary Schindler, who is in her 11th season as the head coach of Tarleton, enters this game with 199 career wins as she moves one win away from 200 all-time victories at the helm of the TexAnns. Schindler, who is the longest tenured coach in the history of the program, already owns the most wins by a coach in Tarleton history.

The TexAnns will close out their five-game road trip on Tuesday, Nov. 3 against Texas A&M-Commerce at 6 p.m. Tarleton returns home for the final regular season match at Wisdom Gym on Nov. 7 against Texas A&M-Kingsville at 2 p.m.
