THE GAME
Tarleton State looks to keep the good times rolling Monday afternoon when the TexAnns return home to host Northwestern Oklahoma State for a single game at 3 p.m. in Stephenville.

THE SERIES
Last year was the first meeting between the TexAnns and Rangers when Northwestern Oklahoma came to Stephenville to take part in the Tarleton State Invitational. The Rangers won both meetings last season and hold a 2-0 advantage in the series.

THE OPPONENT
The Rangers opened the season with a sweep of Texas-Permian Basin and will visit Tarleton State during their current road swing through the Lone Star State. Northwestern Oklahoma is in the midst of a three-day, five-game road swing through Texas that included two games against the Falcons in Odessa on Saturday, a game against Texas A&M International and Angelo State in San Angelo Sunday and concluding against the TexAnns Monday at 3 p.m.

HOT START TO THE SEASON
Tarleton State is off to its best start in recent history with a 5-1 record through the first six games. The five wins in the opening six games matches the best start since 2011. Tarleton hasn't started a season 6-1 since the 2007 campaign, in which Tarleton qualified for the NCAA South Central Regional Tournament.

WELCOME TO COLLEGE
A trio of TexAnn freshmen has proven their worth through the opening week of the season, as Delaney Wayland, Nyka Wood and Haley Freyman have been pivotal pieces of Tarleton's early success. Wood and Wayland have combined for 14 hits, seven runs scored, three home runs and 14 RBIs at the plate while Freyman leads the team with 23.0 innings pitched, three wins and a save to go along with a 3.04 earned run average.

CONLEE THE CRUSHER
Katelyn Conlee has put up one of the greatest offensive starts to a season in school history. The junior from Stephenville is hitting .652 with 15 hits in 23 at bats to go along with 10 runs scored, four extra base hits, 13 RBIs and a .692 on-base percentage.

RINGHAUSEN'S DEBUT
Alyssa Ringhausen made her pitching debut for Tarleton State and earned her first career win in a shutout effort in Tarleton's most recent win – a 15-0 victory over Northeastern State Saturday night.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
The TexAnns will head to West Texas A&M for a six-game, three-day tournament against in-region foes. During the weekend, Tarleton will square off with Chadron State, Colorado Mesa, Metro State, Colorado Mines, Colorado State-Pueblo and Adams State, beginning with Chadron Friday at 11:30 a.m.
