THE GAMES
Tarleton State Baseball will continue Lone Star Conference play in a four-game series against Cameron at the Cecil Ballow Baseball Complex.
Â
THE BREAKDOWN
Tarleton State will play four games against Cameron this weekend, beginning with a single game Friday at 3 p.m. On Saturday, the Texans will play a double-header starting at 1 p.m. before wrapping things up with the one-game series finale on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Â
THE SERIES
Tarleton State reunites with familiar Lone Star Conference opponent Cameron. The Texans have dominated the Aggies by winning 39 of the 49 games in the series history. The two schools first squared off in 1995 with TSU winning the first 13 games in the series. Since 2012, TSU has won 13 of 16 games against Cameron, but has dropped 3 of the last 4 against the Aggies at home.
Â
THE OPPONENT
Cameron comes to Stephenville with a 7-11 record on the season. The Aggies have struggled since starting Lone Star Conference play, dropping 6 of their first 7 games. Cameron was swept in a four-game series on the road at Angelo State and lost 2 of 3 at home against A&M-Kingsville, including getting shutout the final two games. Cameron is hitting .224 as a team, but utility player Tyler Cook leads the Aggie offense with a .313 average and team-high 15 hits in 18 games. The Aggies' pitching staff has posted a 4.25 ERA with opponents hitting .260 against Cameron.
Â
LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton State lost 2 of 3 at home to No. 7-ranked Angelo State, but the Texans pulled off a 3-1 win in the finale after being outscored 28-2 in the first two games against the Rams. The fourth game of the scheduled four-game series was canceled due to weather. The Texans look to build off their latest win after
Colton Burleson (2-0) went six innings, surrendering only five hits and one unearned run to Angelo State.

200 COUNTDOWN REACHES 10
Head coach
Bryan Conger enters this weekend's series with 190 career victories as the head coach of the Texans. He is 10 away from reaching the 200 mark that only Tarleton Hall of Fame coach, Jack Allen, has eclipsed since Tarleton reinstated baseball in 1988. Conger has the second-most wins in Tarleton's new-era history behind Allen (565) and ahead of his immediate predecessor, Trey Felan (145).
