A RECAP OF THE LSC TOURNAMENT
Tarleton State is coming off the Lone Star Conference Championship Tournament in Allen where the Texans advanced to the semifinal round for the sixth consecutive season. The Texans blasted Eastern New Mexico 80-50 in the opening round of the LSC playoffs before dropping a heartbreaker at the buzzer to Texas A&M-Commerce in Friday's semifinal round.

TEXANS IN THE BIG DANCE
Tarleton has qualified for the NCAA tournament for the 12th time in school history, including the sixth straight season. All 12 trips to the postseason have come since 2002.

TARLETON IN THE NCAA QUARTERFINALS
Tarleton is 8-3 all-time in the NCAA regional quarterfinal round, including a perfect 2-0 against the Rattlers of St. Mary's in the only two postseason meetings between the teams. Tarleton's first-ever NCAA playoff win came against St. Mary's on March 14, 2003. Tarleton has twice played St. Mary's in the first round and are 2-0 in those games.

TARLETON IN THE NCAA SEMIFINALS
The Texans are 4-4 in the second round of the NCAA tournament all-time, including two trips to the second round over the last three seasons.

TARLETON IN THE NCAA FINALS
Tarleton State has twice claimed the South Central Regional title, both coming in successive years in 2005 and 2006, to advance to the NCAA Elite Eight. Tarleton is 2-2 all-time in the finals and last played for the regional title in 2008.

TARLETON AS THE HOST
This marks the fourth time Tarleton State has hosted the NCAA playoffs and first time since 2008 - joining 2003 and 2004. Tarleton boasts an overall record of 5-3 when hosting the regional tournament.

POWERHOUSE REGION
As if hosting the NCAA regional wasn't already a tough enough task to accomplish, but the Texans did so this season in arguably one of the toughest regions in the nation. The eight teams playing in this tournament have a combined record this season of 193-47 for a winning percentage of .804. The South Central region enters the NCAA postseason with five teams ranked nationally in the NABC poll with another team receiving national votes.

TARLETON'S RECORD AT THE DANCE
Tarleton boasts an all-time record of 14-9 over their 12 trips to the NCAA regional tournament, since reaching the national postseason for the first time in 2002. The overall record, including Elite Eight appearances, is 15-11.
