THE BROADCAST
The game will have a live radio broadcast presented by the Tarleton Sports Network presented by North Texas Ford Dealers. The Voice of the Texans,
Casey Hogan, will serve as the play-by-play for Tarleton baseball this postseason. The radio broadcast can be heard on KTRL 90.5 FM in Stephenville and surrounding areas or online at TarletonSports.com/ListenLive. The pregame show will begin 15 minutes prior to first pitch.
Â
THE TOURNAMENT FIELD
Tarleton State earned the No. 4 seed in the championship tournament and enter the tournament with a 20-23 record, including a 13-19 mark in Lone Star Conference play. Texas A&M-Kingsville is the top seed at 34-16, 23-12 while West Texas A&M is No. 2 at 29-21, 23-12. Angelo State rounds out the field as the No. 3 seed at 34-15, 21-14.
Â
THE REIGNING CHAMPS
For the first time ever, Tarleton State enters the LSC Tournament as the reigning champions. The Texans went 3-0 in last year's tournament, which was also played at Nolan Ryan Field in Kingsville, to claim the title and an NCAA regional berth.
Â
TARLETON IN THE TOURNEY
This is the 12th trip to the Lone Star Conference Championship Tournament for Tarleton State since its first trip in 1998, which is the second-most among active Lone Star Conference teams. This is also the seventh consecutive trip to the postseason since
Bryan Conger's first season in 2009 and the Texans boast a 9-4 record in conference tournament games since 2012.
Â
UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
Tarleton State fell out of the NCAA regional rankings in the latest poll, therefore the Texans will need to win the LSC Tournament this weekend to have their season continue in the national playoffs.
