AT A GLANCE
After a 4-0 start to the season, Tarleton Volleyball will make its home debut Tuesday night in Wisdom Gym when the TexAnns play host to Howard Payne at 7 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton opened the regular season last weekend with four games in San Angelo and swept the field at the Kathleen Brasfield Invitational. The TexAnns opened things up with back-to-back wins in four sets against Chadron State and Newman before sweeping Texas-Permian Basin and Western New Mexico, who are both set to become Lone Star Conference rivals next season, Saturday afternoon to complete the unblemished start. The fourth win of the season, which came in the tournament finale, gave Tarleton its 300
th win all-time as an NCAA program.

DOMINATING THE TOURNAMENT FIELD
The TexAnns showed pure dominance in their victories, including career efforts from
Hailey Roberts,
Chandler Gow, and
Kelsey Raglin. The trio of TexAnns each had career days in the season opener when Gow (53) and Raglin (13) set personal bests in assists and kills, respectively, while Roberts blasted a career-high 32 kills to become the first TexAnn since Jelena Miljanic in 1999 to top 30 kills in a single match. For the weekend, Roberts landed 87 kills while Raglin landed 29. Gow had 151 assists for the weekend while
Meg Umbel led the way with 22 blocks for the tournament. Roberts and
Kenya Alexander were named All-Tournament.

LSC LEADERS
Roberts and Umbel are currently pacing the Lone Star Conference in kills, service aces, and blocks. Roberts boasts the league's most kills (87), which is 34 more kills than the next highest hitter in the LSC (53). The Tarleton sophomore also leads the LSC with nine aces while Umbel's 22 blocks are tops in the league.

TARLETON vs HOWARD PAYNE
This is the 38
th all-time meeting between Tarleton and Howard Payne and the TexAnns are looking for win No. 18. The Yellow Jackets lead the all-time series 20-17, but Tarleton dominated the most recent 10 games – earning nine wins in the last 10 meetings. The TexAnns have won four straight dating back to 1995, including the last meeting – a five-set win on Sept. 3, 2004. Tarleton is 10-6 all-time against Howard Payne in Stephenville.

TARLETON IN HOME OPENERS
The TexAnns are 7-3 in home openers since
Mary Schindler took over the program in 2005 and have won five of the last six home openers in Wisdom Gym.

SCHINDLER'S COUNTDOWN TO 200
Mary Schindler, who is in her 11
th season as the head coach of Tarleton, enters Tuesday's match four wins closer to 200 all-time victories at the helm of the TexAnns. She currently has 184 wins in her career. Schindler, who is the longest tenured coach in the history of the program, already owns the most wins by a coach in Tarleton history with 130 more wins than the next-highest coach, which was Larry Blackwell with 54 wins from 1989-91.

UP NEXT FOR TARLETON
Tarleton will travel to Colorado for the Steel and Silver Classic over two different locations. The TexAnns will play Missouri Western and Colorado-Colorado Springs at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., respectively, in Colorado Springs on Friday. Saturday, Tarleton will travel over to Pueblo, Colorado for a 9 a.m. match with Western State and a 7 p.m. match with Colorado State-Pueblo.
